GYC (Governors Youth Council):

The GYC is a very positive and educational youth group in our community that plans and coordinates drug free activities to promote positive youth lifestyles.  The GYC was originally formed in 1982 by Governor Scott Matheson to provide direct input to the Governor on what works for substance abuse prevention and what the students of Utah need.   The GYC is still active today with more than 200 members statewide.  GYC is sponsored by the Bear River Health Department with an advisor and two GYC Representatives from our school.
